New Paintings

This painting, "The Wanderers," is my personal favorite of my new paintings. It's 22x30 - unfortunately you can't see where the paper ends because the background is white. I already sold it, but I still have 8x10 prints for $30.

"No, No, Bad Doggie" is a painting of my brother's dog Cardi - a sort of generic mutt of gentle temper. Original $89. Prints, 5x5 available for $18.

Painting of my daughter's Weimar, Roper. Original $89, prints available for $18.

A little terrier. Original $89, prints available for $18.

"The Wanderer," a watercolor painting. Original, 30x22, $400.

The Blue Roan

Tom and Jan Scott, who own the Blue Roan Cafe, invited a friend and myself to Lorena, Texas for an event. They fed us a great catfish dinner, and I was able to see my painting for their logo hung in front of the restaurant and inside.

New Jewelry; Off to Alabama

I have started a line of jewelry in polymer clay, mostly similar to my paintings. I have been doing a lot of pins, which I personally wear in hats, because I like hats and wear them a lot. But of course they could be used on clothing, too. Here are a few samles of the new stuff:

I am getting ready to leave for an art show in Fairhope, Alabama. It's one of my favorite places to go because there is a wonderful campground there out in the woods. I have a 17 ft. Casita travel trailer - that's how I get around to various art shows and take my little house with me. I travel with a cat, Lutu, a snowshoe Siamese. She clawed herself a pet door in the screen door of the travel trailer, so when we arrive at a campground, I just let her roam. She always comes back to the trailer.

At this campground in Alabama they raise goats. Lutu is scared of goats. She will stalk deer as if she were a lioness, but she runs from a goat. (So far the deer have been pretty safe, though. Lutu is small, even for a cat.)
This is Lutu's 6th year of travelling with me. She hops in my van like a dog. Once I drove to the grocery store not aware that Lutu had hopped in the van. When I opened the door, she hopped out - in the supermarket parking lot! Not a good place for a kitty. Fortunately, I grabbed her and put her back in the van.

Commissions and New Painting

This painting, "On the Cliffs" was commissioned last year. It is sold, of course, but I want everyone to know that I accept commissions for reasonable fees.

This painting is also sold, but in a different way - I was commissioned to do a painting and logo for a new restaurant and gift shop called The Blue Roan Cafe. I actually did about 25 paintings, and this is the one they chose for the logo.

"Blue Horse"
a new painting in watercolor.
11x 14
